The submission process
Once schools have completed all criteria for one theme for Bronze, two themes plus Staff Wellbeing for Silver and four themes for Gold; evidence can be submitted towards achieving an award. Action plan templates need to be completed and uploaded and Pupil Voice questions should be answered by pupils and uploaded. Please note that themes can be worked on in any order depending on a school's individual priorities. The four award themes are: Active Lifestyles, Emotional Health & Wellbeing, Food in schools and Personal, Social & Health Education.
Full details and documents are available to download once your school has registered and logged into the award section of the site.
Evidence will be assessed by the Healthy Schools partnership group, comprised of the award team and partnership organisations including Public Health and North Yorkshire Sport; three times a year.
This Quality Assurance process will be supplemented by visits to a proportion of schools applying for awards. We will inform your school if you have been chosen for an assessment visit before the notification deadline date (see table below).
