Support on Domestic Abuse
- The Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) is the largest specialist charity in Yorkshire supporting anyone experiencing or affected by domestic abuse or sexual violence https://www.idas.org.uk/
(IDAS) provide services in the community for anyone subjected to domestic abuse, irrespective of their age, sex, gender identity, ethnicity, disability, or immigration status.
Children and young people are often hidden victims, but they are regularly directly and indirectly impacted by abuse.
Our specialist teams support children and young people who have witnessed or been subject to domestic abuse and young people who’ve been sexually assaulted. We also provide a programme for families which helps where young people are abusive to their parents or siblings. In addition, our ‘whole family’ approach works with the family to identify the best support to help all members of the family cope and recover from domestic abuse.
