School Sport Action Plan (July 2019)

Active Lives Survey Children and Young People

The Active Lives Children and Young People Survey runs on an annual basis. Each term, a number of schools are randomly selected to take part with the aim of getting 100,000 children and young people in Years 1 to 11 to complete it each academic year.

School Sports Awards

afPE Quality Mark for Physical Education, School Sport & Physical Activity

The afPE Quality Mark is a unique self review and evaluation process that involves the completion of an application form as well as a school visit by one of afPE’s Validation Team of highly qualified school improvement professionals

YST Quality Mark

The Youth Sport Trust Quality Mark is an online self-review tool which provides schools with a nationally recognised badge of excellence for PE and school sport. The tool supports schools to audit their PE provision and identify priorities for development

School Games Mark

The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress
